In July 2017, ORBIZ were engaged by the Western Program Alliance (WPA) to facilitate the development and implementation of Lean management systems in order to support the creation of a culture of innovation and Continuous Improvement. A road map was developed for WPA to achieve the highest level of Lean maturity in 3 years.
Visual Management, Problem Solving through 8D+ and Managing step-change improvement through Kaizen Events have been delivered as the first phase of Lean implementation across WPA.
This presentation will focus on the following two key major areas that have been successfully implemented over the last 18 months:
· Visual Management & tiered meeting structure and their role in major construction projects
· Deliver step-change improvement in Design review process through Kaizen Events in a major construction project
(Kaizen Event is an intensive focused event of business process improvement by harnessing the ideas and creativity of individuals in creating a step change improvement and using logical process improvement steps)

Ali Eghbaljoo, n Industrial Engineer and Lean six sigma black belt practitioner with more than 18 years of experience across a large variety of manufacturing environments.
